- 3/4 c. flour
- 1/2 c. yellow corn meal
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 c. creamed corn (canned)
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1/2 c. milk
Directions

1Sift dry ingredients into a bowl.

2Mix the egg, corn and oil in another bowl. Combine the two mixtures and add enough milk to make a thin batter. Heat a griddle.

3Grease and ladle about 1/4 cup batter for each cake.

4Cook until the bubbles on top burst. Turn when golden brown on bottom.
