- 2 c. milk
- 1 c. water
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
Directions

1Bring to a bubble the milk and water; cool in fridge to lukewarm.

2Add the remaining ingredients to milk mixture; beat until well mixed.

3Sift 7 to 8 cups of flour.

4Stir in 5 1/2 to 6 cups until dough starts to thicken, then add remaining 1 to 2 cups until ready for kneading.

5Turn onto floured board and knead for 2 to 5 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

6Round up in greased bowl, rounded side up.

7Cover with damp cloth and let rise in warm place for 2 to 2 1/2 hours (don't rush).

8Punch down and let rise again 30 minutes to 1 hour.
