- 7 lb. green cucumbers
- 2 c. lime
- 1 qt. red vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. pickling spice
- 4 1/2 lb. sugar
Directions

1Slice cucumbers.

2Place in large container with 2 gallons of water and lime.

3Soak 24 hours.

4Then rinse well.

5Soak 3 hours in clear cold water, changing water every hour.

6Place cucumbers in pot and set aside.

7If you don't like spice in your pickles, you may tie the spice in a cloth (one tablespoon per cloth).

8Place vinegar, salt, sugar and spice in pot and bring to a boil.

9Then pour over cucumbers and let set overnight.

10Next morning, bring to boil and then cook 35 minutes.

11Place hot pickles in 9 pint jars and seal.
