- 1/2 cup butter, chopped
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp almond extract
- 2 None eggs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/3 cup milk or buttermilk
- 1 cup raisins
Directions

1Preheat oven to 300°F. Lightly grease and flour an 8x4 inch loaf pan.

2Cream butter and sugar until light and creamy. Add almond extract. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift flour and baking powder together then fold in, alternately with milk until combined. Fold in raisins. Transfer to prepared pan and bake for 1 hour 20 mins, or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 5 mins then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
