  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 2 cup water
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 1 tbsp raisins
  • 1 tbsp blanched almonds
  • 2 small cardamoms
  • 1 pinch of saffron
  • 1 pinch of edible yellow food colour

Directions

    clean and wash rice.soak for 15-20 mins.

    in a microwave safe bowl,add soaked rice,2 cups of water,sugar,ghee,cardamom and edible yellow colour.microwave covered at 100% power for 10-11 min.stir in between.

    Add saffron,almonds and raisins.microwave covered at 60% power for 9-10 min.stir in between.

    Allow to stand for another 5 mints and Garnish with fresh fruits and dry fruits of your choice.serve hot.
