Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. water
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. allspice
  • 1/8 tsp. cloves
  • 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 c. almond, cashew, pecan or walnut halves or combination

    In 2-quart casserole, combine sugar, water, salt, cinnamon, allspice, cloves and nutmeg.

    Cook at high 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or until sugar is melted; stir in nuts.

    Cook at high 4 to 5 minutes or until syrup begins to harden.

    Immediately pour nut mixture onto buttered cookie sheet.

    Spread thinly.

    Cool; break into small pieces.

    Yields 1 1/2 cups.
