- 9 eggs, beaten
- 2 1/4 c. milk
- 1 stick butter, melted
- 10 to 12 slices cubed fresh bread
- 1 lb. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 to 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1 small can mushrooms (stems and pieces)
- 1 lb. bacon, fried crisp and broken up
Directions

1Mix together first 3 ingredients; add salt as desired.

2Put bread cubes on bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan.

3Sprinkle cheese over bread.

4Sprinkle onion, pepper and mushrooms on top.

5Pour egg mixture slowly over top.

6Sprinkle bacon on top.

7Bake at 325° for 1 hour.
