- no stick cooking spray
- 1/3 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 lb. round steak
- 3 tsp. vegetable oil
- 2 c. sliced mushrooms
- 1 large onion, thickly sliced
- 1 c. beef broth
- 3/4 c. water
Directions

1Heat oven to 325°.

2Spray 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish with cooking spray.

3In pan, combine flour, salt and pepper.

4Coat both sides of beef, shaking off excess flour.

5Set flour mixture aside. In nonstick skillet, heat 1 1/2 teaspoon oil; add beef.

6Cook 5 minutes on each side until well browned.

7Remove to baking dish. To drippings in skillet, add remaining 1 1/2 teaspoons oil; add mushrooms and onion and cook about 6 minutes until vegetables are lightly browned.

8Transfer vegetables to baking dish.

9Place reserved flour mixture in small bowl.

10Using wire whisk or fork, gradually beat in beef broth and water.

11Pour mixture over contents in baking dish, cover and bake 1 hour and 20 minutes until beef is tender.
