- 2 lb. round steak
- 2 tsp. salad oil or shortening
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 to 1 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
- 1 (16 oz.) can whole tomatoes (undrained)
- 2 medium onions, sliced
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 green pepper, cut in rings
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 6 carrots, peeled and sliced lengthwise
Directions

1Pound meat into serving pieces.

2Dredge in flour, seasoned salt and pepper mixture.

3Brown on both sides.

4Pour tomatoes over meat.

5Combine onions, tomato sauce, green pepper and garlic. Pour over steak.

6Cover and simmer 20 minutes.

7Add carrots and cook 1 hour.

8Serve with hot rice if desired.
