  • 2 lb. round steak
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 2 c. tomatoes
  • 1 onion, chopped

Directions

    Mix flour, salt and pepper and pound it into steak.

    Brown the steak in Dutch oven or deep skillet.

    Mix tomatoes and onion and heat to a boil.

    Layer with steak and cook in moderate oven at 350° for 1 1/2 hours.

    Cover before cooking.

    Yields 4 to 6 servings.
