Swiss Steak With Red Gravy

- 1 large round steak or chuck steak or roast
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 3 Tbsp. oil
- 2 to 3 cans tomato soup
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Saute onion slices in oil in large skillet.

2Remove onions and brown steak in same oil.

3Drain.

4Add onions back to pan and cover with tomato soup, salt and pepper.

5Simmer for 1 to 2 hours until tender.

6Stir occasionally to keep from sticking.

7Tomato soup becomes the gravy when meat is removed.
