- 2 eggs
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. cane syrup
- 1 c. cooking oil
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. ginger
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. allspice
Directions

1Put all the dry ingredients in a large bowl and mix.

2Add eggs, oil and syrup.

3Beat well, then add 1 cup boiling water.

4Beat until the batter is very thin and pour into a large, long greased and floured cake pan.

5Bake in 350° oven until brown and sort of shiny.

6Test for doneness.

7This cake will stay quite moist.
