- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 egg
- 3 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. ginger
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. cloves
Directions

1Cream butter.

2Add syrup, egg and sifted dry ingredients. Chill.

3Turn out on floured board and roll 1/4-inch thick.

4Cut out and place on greased baking sheet.

5Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 350°.
