Taco Casserole

Ingredients

  • 2 c. broken tortilla chips
  • 1 1/2 - 2 lb. ground chuck
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 2 pkg. taco seasoning
  • 2/3 c. water
  • 1 c. salsa
  • 1 c. refried beans (drained pinto beans may be substituted)
  • grated cheese

Directions

    Brown meat and onions until all pink is gone.

    Drain and add taco seasoning, water and beans.

    Cook until thick. Place broken chips in an 8 x 8 casserole dish, pour the meat mixture over the chips, top with the salsa and grated cheese.

    Bake in 400 degree oven for 45 minutes.

    Serve with more tortilla chips and sour cream.

    Salsa may also be added on top with the sour cream.
