Taco Casserole

Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. taco seasoning mix
  • 2 lb. ground chuck or turkey
  • 24 flour tortillas
  • 1 can refried beans
  • 1 large pkg. shredded taco cheese
  • 1 large and 1 medium jar salsa (mild, medium or hot)
  • 1 (16 slice) pkg. American cheese

Directions

    Brown meat in skillet, add taco seasoning and simmer per directions on package.

    Set aside.

    Pour medium jar of salsa in bottom of 9 x 14-inch baking dish.

    Set aside.

    Add the following to each tortilla:

    1 teaspoon refried beans, spread down center. Place 1/3 slice of cheese and 1 heaping tablespoonful of taco seasoned meat.

    Roll tightly with open side down.

    Continue until all ingredients are used.

    Pour large salsa over tortillas. Sprinkle taco seasoned shredded cheese.

    Bake at 350° until cheese melts and casserole is heated through, 30 to 40 minutes.
