Ingredients

  • 8 oz. plus 3 oz. pkg. cream cheese
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 pkg. Old El Paso taco seasoning
  • 1 jar Ortega thick and smooth taco sauce
  • 3 plum tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 small can black olives
  • 1 - 2 c. cheddar cheese, grated
  • Optional - chopped onion

Directions

    Spread cream cheese on bottom of large baking dish. Brown ground beef and drain.

    Add taco seasoning and 1/4 c. water to ground beef and cook 5 minutes.

    Layer meat mixture over cream cheese.

    Pour 1/2 sauce over meat.

    Chop tomatoes and layer with olives next.

    Pour on remaining taco sauce and top with grated cheese.

    Bake at 325 until cheese melts, about 20 minutes.

    Serve with tortilla chips.
