  • 1 pound Ground Chuck
  • 1 whole Medium Onion
  • 1 package Taco Seasoning Mix
  • 3/4 cups Water
  • 16 ounces, weight Can Refried Beans
  • 8 ounces, weight Taco Sauce (or Salsa)
  • 1 whole Baked Pastry Shell
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 cup Tortilla Chips, Crushed

Directions

    Cook ground beef and onion in a skillet, crumble meat.

    Drain.

    Add taco seasoning mix and water, stir well.

    Bring to boil; and simmer 10 minutes.

    Combine refried beans and 1/3 cup taco sauce.

    Spoon half of bean mixture into bottom of pastry shell.

    Top with half of meat mixture, half of cheese, and all of corn chips.

    Repeat layers.

    Bake at 400 for 20-25 minutes and top with lettuce and tomato.
