Taco Roll-Ups

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1- 1/4 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons Black Pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoons Red Pepper Flakes
  • 10 whole Flour Tortillas
  • 8 ounces, weight Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Shredded
  • Vegetable Oil For Pan

Directions

  1. 1
Brown your ground beef in a skillet and as it cooks, break it up with a masher; you want it to be very fine.
  2. 2
Once browned drain it to remove any excess grease.
  3. 3
Place all of your seasonings in a small bowl and whisk them together and add a little of the mixture at a time to the meat and taste in between until it is seasoned to your liking.
  4. 4
Take a flour tortilla and place it on a flat surface and sprinkle some cheese down the middle, then spoon some of the meat down the middle, then a little bit more cheese, so the meat has something to stick to on both sides and so it all doesnt fall out as youre working with them.
  5. 5
    Then roll up the tortilla.
  6. 6
Repeat until you have filled all of your tortillas.
  7. 7
Warm up a griddle or a fry pan with a small amount of vegetable oil, just enough to barely coat it so the tortillas can crisp up.
  8. 8
Place your tortillas, seam side down, on the hot surface and cook until golden brown and crisp on one side, then flip with a spatula and repeat until the other side is crispy and golden brown.
  9. 9
Serve with salsa and/or sour cream, if desired.
