Taco Salad

  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 pkg. taco seasoning
  • 2 cans kidney beans, well drained
  • 1 onion, chopped or 1 bunch green onions, cut finely
  • 3 tomatoes, cut coarsely
  • 2 avocados, cut up (optional)
  • 1 (12 oz.) bag Doritos taco chips, broken coarsely
  • 1 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 head lettuce, broken into bite size pieces
  • 1 small bottle French dressing

Directions

    Cook hamburger; crumble and drain.

    Add taco seasoning and beans.

    Stir well; turn into large bowl and add onion, tomatoes, avocados, taco chips and cheese.

    Mix well; put into refrigerator. May make this part early in day.

    When ready to serve, add lettuce and dressing.

    This makes a large salad and is very good. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
