Taco Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 can pinto beans
  • 1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
  • 3/4 c. water
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 c. shredded lettuce
  • 1 c. shredded cheese
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 pt. sour cream
  • salsa (your choice)
  • optional veggies: bell pepper, olives and tomatoes
  • 4 taco salad shells or tortilla chips

Directions

    Brown ground chuck in a large skillet.

    Drain fat.

    Add package of seasoning mix and 3/4 cup water.

    Stir together well. Let simmer for 5 minutes.

    Add pinto beans (remove fat).

    Stir together and let simmer for 15 minutes.

    Prepare salad shells according to directions.
  8. 8
    Prepare veggies.
