- 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes with juice
- 1 (14 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 pkg. taco seasoning
- 1 to 2 c. water
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Directions

1Brown beef in large, heavy kettle; drain and add onions.

2Cook until onions are tender.

3Add remaining ingredients except cheese; simmer for 15 minutes (minimum).

4Ladle into bowls; top with the grated cheese and tortilla chips.

5Makes 6 to 8 servings.
