Taco "Volcano" Dip

  • 1 (16 oz.) carton sour cream
  • 1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
  • 1 can green chilies, drained and chopped
  • 5 to 6 green onions, chopped
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. Monterey Jack cheese with jalapeno cheese, grated
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • 1/2 c. black olives, sliced

    Combine sour cream and taco seasoning.

    Mix and refrigerate 2 to 3 hours.

    Spoon sour cream mixture into middle of large plate. Spread over plate.

    Cover sour cream mixture with green chilies and cheeses.

    Top with diced tomatoes and sliced black olives.

    Serve with taco chips or rye bread.
