- 8 taco shells
- 12 oz. 90% lean ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 (4 oz.) can diced green chilie peppers, drained
- 1 to 2 tsp. chili powder
- 1 1/2 c. shredded lettuce
- 1 c. chopped tomatoes (2 small)
- 1/2 c. shredded low-fat natural Cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese (2 oz.)
- 1/2 c. taco sauce
Directions

1Heat taco shells according to package directions.

2Meanwhile, for filling, in a large skillet, cook meat, onion and garlic until meat is brown and onion is tender.

3Drain off fat.

4Stir in chilie peppers and chili powder; heat through.

5Fill taco shell with meat mixture; top with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and taco sauce.

6Makes 4 servings.
