- 2 c. corn syrup
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1/4 tsp. soda
- 2 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1Combine corn syrup, sugar and vinegar in saucepan.

2Cook to hard ball stage or 260° on candy thermometer, stirring frequently. Remove from heat.

3Stir in soda and butter.

4Beat until smooth and creamy. Spread on buttered dish.

5Let stand until cool enough to handle. Pull taffy with buttered hands until firm.

6Yields 24 servings.
