Taffy Apple Salad

  • 1 large can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 2 c. mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. white vinegar
  • 1 well beaten egg
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • juice from crushed pineapple
  • 2 c. red apples with peelings
  • 2 c. chopped peanuts
  • 1 (12 oz.) Cool Whip

Directions

    Combine drained crushed pineapple and mini marshmallows. Refrigerate overnight or several hours.

    In a small saucepan mix sugar, vinegar, egg, flour and juice from pineapple.

    Cook until creamy and thick.

    Refrigerate overnight or several hours.

    After several hours or the next day, combine the ingredients with the red apples, peanuts and Cool Whip.

    Chill.
