  • 12 cup corn syrup
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 14 cup water
  • 1 dash red food coloring
  • 9 -12 apples

Directions

    Boil syrup, sugar and water rapidly until it spins a very brittle thread when dropped in cold water.

    Add food colouring.

    Remove from direct heat, and place over hot water.

    Quickly dip apples into the hot syrup, coating completely.

    Stand on buttered cookie sheet until cold.
