- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 c. green peppers
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 1 (12 oz.) can whole kernel corn, drained
- 1/2 c. pitted ripe olives, chopped
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 to 3 tsp. chili powder
- dash of pepper
- 8 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 3/4 c. yellow cornmeal
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. cold water
- 1 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1Cook beef, onion and peppers in large skillet until meat is browned and vegetables are tender.

2Stir in tomato sauce, corn, olives, garlic, sugar, 1 teaspoon salt, chili powder and pepper. Simmer 20 to 25 minutes or until thick.

3Pour into greased 9 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.

4Sprinkle with 6 ounces of Cheddar cheese.
