Tangy Marinated Broccoli

  • 3 bunches broccoli, uncooked
  • 1 c. cider vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. fresh dill or 1 Tbsp. dried dill weed
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 clove garlic, mashed
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1 1/2 c. vegetable oil
  • lemon slices (optional)

Directions

    Remove and discard stalks and leaves of broccoli.

    Separate flowerets, wash, drain and place in large shallow container.

    Set aside.

    Combine vinegar, sugar, dill, salt, garlic, pepper and oil.

    Mix well and pour over broccoli.

    Toss gently to coat. Chill at least 24 hours.

    Toss several times. Garnish with lemon slices.

    May be served in marinade or drained.

    Serves 10 to 12.
