- 1 lb. bacon
- 1 dozen eggs
- 2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
- 2 tsp. powdered buttermilk
- milk
- shortening
- water
- 2 to 2 1/2 Tbsp. flour
Directions

1Fry bacon.

2Mix flour and buttermilk in bowl until combined. Add shortening until flour feels like cornmeal.

3Add water a dash at a time until dough is rollable.

4Roll onto floured surface and cut circles with glass to make biscuits.

5Bake at 350° until brown (10 to 15 minutes).

6Remove bacon.

7Place flour into drippings; brown until clumpy.

8Add enough milk to thicken.

9Fry eggs.

10Serve with hot biscuits and gravy with crumbled bacon on top.
