- 1 stick softened butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 c. flour
- 3 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 c. raisins
- 1/3 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs, used separately
Directions

1Combine sugar, flour and baking powder in a large bowl.

2Cut in butter with pastry blender.

3Add raisins.

4In a separate bowl, combine milk, 1 egg and vanilla.

5Blend with a whisk.

6Quickly add liquids to dry and blend with wooden spoon.

7Knead for 1 minute on floured board.

8Roll out.

9Cut into 3-inch squares. Place 2 squares together on top of each other on baking tray. Makes about 12 Tea Biscuits.

10Brush biscuits with beaten egg, then bake for about 15 minutes at 400°.
