- 2 c. flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. shortening
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 egg
Directions

1Sift flour, salt, baking powder and sugar together. Add water and beaten egg to shortening.

2Mix with dry ingredients to make soft dough. Turn out on floured board and roll out to about half-inch thickness.

3Cut out with small biscuit cutter.

4Bake on greased pan in moderate oven about 25 minutes.
