- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. margarine or butter, softened
- 3 Tbsp. cream or milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 egg
- 3 c. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
Directions

1In large bowl combine first 5 ingredients; blend well.

2Stir in remaining ingredients; blend well.

3Chill dough for easier handling.

4Heat oven to 400°.

5Roll dough 1/3 at a time on floured surface to 1/8 inch thickness.

6Cut with floured cookie cutter. Place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

7If you want to, sprinkle with sugar.

8Bake 8 to 10 minutes, until edges turn light brown.

9Immediately remove.

10Makes 60 to 72 cookies.
