- 1 c. shortening (Crisco)
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 2 c. self-rising flour
Directions

1Blend the sugar and shortening together with a fork.

2Add eggs, vanilla and gradually add the flour, one cup at a time.

3It will seem a little dry.

4Spoon out on cookie sheet, ungreased, and bake in oven at 325° for about 20 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.

5When you take them out, they will be soft, but as they cool, they will become firmer.

6Do not overcook.
