- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 3 1/2 c. flour, sifted
- 1/2 c. dairy sour cream
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Directions

1Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

2Blend in eggs and vanilla.

3Add combined dry ingredients alternately with sour cream, mixing well after each addition.

4Chill several hours or overnight.

5On lightly floured surface, roll out dough to 1/4-inch thickness; cut with 3-inch round cookie cutter.

6Place on well-greased cookie sheet; sprinkle with sugar.

7Bake at 450° for 10 to 12 minutes, or until lightly browned.

8Yields approximately 2 dozen.
