- 1 egg
- 5 Tbsp. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. soda mixed into buttermilk
- 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
- pinch of salt
- 1/2 c. shortening
Directions

1Mix the ingredients together thoroughly.

2Add plain flour gradually and mix to consistency of biscuit dough.

3Roll out on floured surface and cut with cookie cutter.

4Bake at 350° until lightly browned.

5Keep in tight container.
