- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. scalded milk
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1/4 c. melted butter
- 1/3 c. white sugar
- cinnamon
- nuts
Directions

1Combine the first 4 ingredients in a large bowl.

2Scald the milk and add the shortening.

3Let cool slightly before adding to flour mixture.

4Add the egg and flour.

5Add more flour as needed and knead.

6Let rise.

7Roll out to oblong shape (on floured surface).

8Spread melted butter over rolled out surface.

9On top, sprinkle sugar, cinnamon and nuts.

10Roll up in circle.

11Cut every 3-inches and bake at 350° for 20 minutes.

12Frost when cool.
