Ingredients

  • 1 c. scalded milk
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 cake yeast in 1/4 c. warm water

Directions

    When milk is lukewarm, add yeast, then add 2 cups flour.

    Beat well and let rise, then add the butter, sugar, salt and the 2 beaten eggs.

    To this, add enough flour to make a soft dough. Knead well.

    Let rise in a warm place, then shape into small rolls. Let rise in buttered pans.

    Bake in a brisk oven at 375° for 15 minutes or more.

    Makes 1 1/2 dozen.
