Ingredients

  • 2 lb. top sirloin steaks, sliced thin
  • 2 tsp. fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 clove garlic, grated or chopped fine
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp. m.s.g. (optional)
  • 1/3 c. soy sauce
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. sake or white wine

Directions

    Mix all ingredients, except meat.

    Stir and cook over low heat until sugar is dissolved.

    Cool.

    Pour teriyaki sauce over meat and marinate for 1 hour.

    Drain.

    Broil 3 to 5 minutes on each side, preferably over charcoal.
