Tex-Mex Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage, shredded
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 green pepper, sliced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 3/4 c. Cheddar cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 c. canned tomatoes
  • 1 tsp. basil
  • oregano to taste

Directions

    Cut cabbage in 6 slices and cook 10 minutes or until tender but crisp.

    Pour in buttered 2-quart dish.

    Saute onion, green pepper, sugar and butter.

    Add tomatoes, salt and pepper. Pour over cabbage and sprinkle with cheese.

    Bake at 350° until heated through.

    Can cut hot dogs and put on top.
