- 4 to 5 lb. chuck roast or bottom round
- 3 Tbsp. drippings
- 2 onions, chopped
- 1/2 c. catsup
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 c. vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. each: dry mustard, salt and pepper
- 2 Tbsp. chili powder
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
Directions

1Brown meat well in drippings.

2Then add onions and sauce. Simmer slowly most of the day, 5 to 6 hours, until very tender. Remove any bones.

3Slice meat and return to sauce.
