- 1 lb. ground beef (lean)
- 2 Tbsp. margarine or oil
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 can kidney beans (20 oz. size)
- 2 c. tomatoes (fresh)
- 8 oz. can seasoned tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 1 bay leaf
- dash of paprika
Directions

1Brown meat, onion and green pepper in the meat fat.

2Drain off the fat; add beans, tomatoes, sauce, bay leaf and seasonings. Cook below boiling for 1/2 hour.

3Tastes better if made the day before and reheated.
