- 1 c. yellow plain corn meal
- 1 c. flour (plain)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 3 Tbsp. imitation bacon bits
- 2 eggs, beaten
Directions

1Mix dry ingredients.

2Add egg and mix with enough buttermilk to make soft batter.

3Fold in bacon bits.

4Grease and preheat corn bread skillet.

5Fill pan half full and cook over low heat on top of stove about 8 to 10 minutes or until slightly brown around the edges.

6Turn with spatula and continue cooking until done.

7Turn out on plate to serve.
