- 2 large onions, sliced
- 2 green peppers, cut fine
- 3 Tbsp. salt
- 1 lb. hamburg
- 3 c. canned tomatoes
- 2/3 c. uncooked rice
- 1/2 to 1 tsp. chili powder (optional)
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Cook onions and green peppers in fat until onions are yellow and almost tender.

2Add hamburg and cook until meat falls apart, stirring often.

3Add tomatoes, rice and seasonings; mix well.

4Put in a greased baking dish and cover.

5Bake at 350° for 1 to 1 1/2 hours (until rice is tender).
