Ingredients

  • 1 chopped onion
  • 4 chopped stalks celery
  • 1 small green pepper, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 c. cooked rice
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 3/4 c. grated cheese

Directions

    Saute onion, celery and green pepper in oil until tender.

    Add meat and cook until it loses its color.

    Add chili powder and tomatoes. Cook 10 minutes over medium heat. Stir in rice and salt. Put in shallow baking dish. Add cheese on top.

    Put under broiler until bubbly.
