  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1/2 green pepper, minced
  • 3 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2 c. cooked tomatoes
  • 1/2 c. uncooked rice or 2 c. noodles
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

Directions

    Grease a 2-quart baking dish.

    Simmer onion and green pepper in margarine until yellow.

    Add ground beef; stir in cooked tomatoes, uncooked rice, chili powder, salt and pepper.

    Pour into baking dish; cover and bake at 350° for 1 hour, removing lid last 15 minutes.
