- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 2 c. chopped onion
- 2 c. chopped green pepper
- 1 to 2 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 c. (1 lb.) canned tomatoes
- 3 c. cooked rice
- 1 pkg. shredded Cheddar cheese
Directions

1Brown crumbled beef; saute the onion and green pepper with the seasonings in a large skillet until the beef is no longer pink and vegetables are tender.

2Add tomatoes and rice, stirring frequently.

3When mixture is combined, spoon into buttered 2-quart casserole.

4Top with cheese.

5Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.
