Texas Punch-Bowl Cake

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 pkg. frozen strawberries, thawed
  • 5 bananas
  • 2 large boxes instant vanilla pudding
  • 1 (16 oz.) crushed pineapple, do not drain
  • 1 large container Cool Whip
  • 1 small can coconut
  • 1 c. chopped pecans

Directions

    Bake cake per directions on box in 2 round layer pans.

    In punch bowl, place a layer of strawberries, a layer of cake, (punch holes with handle of wooden spoon), 2-1/2 bananas sliced, 1 box of instant pudding mixed according to directions, second layer of cake, the pineapple, other 2-1/2 bananas sliced, and the other box of pudding (mix as directed).

    Let cool in refrigerator. Spread Cool Whip over top, sealing the edges, sprinkle with coconut and pecans.
