  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 c. (1/2 lb.) margarine
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 slightly beaten eggs
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Mix sugar and flour.

    Melt margarine.

    Add cocoa and water. Bring to a boil.

    Pour over flour and sugar mixture.

    Stir well. Add buttermilk, eggs, baking soda and vanilla.

    Bake in 11 x 17-inch sheet pan in 400° oven for 20 minutes.
