  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk or sour milk
  • 2 slightly beaten eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions

    Sift together flour and sugar.

    Bring to rapid boil margarine, cocoa and water.

    Pour over flour mixture and mix well.
  4. 4
    Add buttermilk, eggs, soda and cinnamon.

    Pour in greased cookie sheet (16 x 11-inch).

    Bake at 400° for 30 minutes.

    Ten minutes before cake is done, start frosting.
