- 1 egg
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. white sugar
- 1 c. oil
- 1 c. coconut
- 1 c. oatmeal
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. soda
- 3 1/2 c. flour
- 1 c. Rice Krispies
- 1 c. chopped walnuts
Directions

1Mix egg, shortening and sugars.

2Add oil, coconut and oatmeal. Mix in remaining dry ingredients and flour.

3Then add Rice Krispies and chopped walnuts.

4Roll into balls.

5Place on greased cookie sheet and flatten with a glass dipped in sugar.

6Bake 12 minutes at 350°.
